She was the bride of the amazing <a title="Gina &amp; Kevin | Lyons CO Farm Wedding" href="http://angiewilsonphotography.com/blog/2011/08/04/gina-kevin-lyons-co-farm-wedding/">Lyons Farm Wedding</a> (think: tandem bike ride post-ceremony, chickens, family style BBQ, a live bluegrass band, perfectly-designed invitations, etc. etc. etc.). Last month Gina and her sister Stephanie launched a cupcakery called <a title="Swell Cupcakes" href="http://www.swellcupcakes.com/" target="_blank">Swell Cupcakes</a>&#8211;the most delicious cupcakes I&#8217;ve had in Colorado (I&#8217;ve had lots!). </p>
<p>At the beginning of December Swell Cupcakes introduced three new winter flavors&#8211;gingerbread, winter wonderland, and peppermint hot chocolate&#8211;all of which I had the pleasure of photographing (and then devouring in an embarassingly short amount of time).  Here are a few shots of their winter flavors. So beautiful aren&#8217;t they? I love cupcakes.</p>
<p><img class="pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter" src="http://angiewilsonphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/swell_cupcakes_boulder4.jpg" alt="" width="454" height="734" /><img class="pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter" src="http://angiewilsonphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/swell_cupcakes_boulder1.jpg" alt="" width="454" height="734" /><img class="pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter" src="http://angiewilsonphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/swell_cupcakes_boulder2.jpg" alt="" width="454" height="734" /><img class="pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter" src="http://angiewilsonphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/swell_cupcakes_boulder3.jpg" alt="" width="810" height="600" />**deliciousness alert** there is GANACHE inside the peppermint hot chocolate cupcake. <p>You see? Imagine yourself in the middle of a cold, snowy photo shoot.  So cold&#8211;as in&#8211;you can see each and every breath you take (see photo below!). When you need your fingers accessible to turn little knobs and dials on your camera, these are a wonderful pair of fingerless gloves.  When you&#8217;re in between shots and you&#8217;d like your fingers warm and toasty just pull the flap back over and wear them like mittens.  Perfect for any photographer shooting a winter wedding or any other outdoor assignment in the middle of December.  PERFECT! :)</p>
<p>Over the past four weeks Jim and I have been working with a few of the lovely ladies at <a title="Icelandic Design" href="http://www.icelandicdesign.com/" target="_blank">Icelandic Design</a> shooting images for their upcoming catalog.  Most of the shoots were outdoor. We got lucky several times with some surprisingly spring-like November weather, but last week&#8217;s shoot was pretty chilly, as you might guess from these photos:</p>
<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-3865" title="icelandic_design" src="http://angiewilsonphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/icelandic_design.jpg" alt="" width="810" height="682" /></p>
<p>I proudly wore my pair of red <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a title="Icelandic Design convertible mittens" href="http://www.apparelvalley.com/CONVERTIBLE_MITTENS_s/292.htm" target="_blank">convertible mittens</a></span> during the outdoor portion of this shoot and they were <em>the best.</em>  Warm hands while also being able to control the dials on my camera.  Brilliant.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s one of the first kids from the shoot&#8230;and in case you&#8217;re looking at his face thinking&#8230;.WOW&#8230;.Angie must be the most boring photographer alive&#8230;.that was the look the art director was going for in the ad campaign&#8230;.(the kids were SUPPOSED to look bored/tired/lost/confused) <a href="http://angiewilsonphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/vw.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1065" title="vw" src="http://angiewilsonphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/vw.jpg" alt="vw" width="800" height="685" /></a></p>
