I had such a great time photographing this family of five. Yes. Five. Count them carefully. :)

It’s been exciting for me to receive Christmas cards and letters from some of my clients this holiday season. Today I opened up this one–and just loved the way it turned out! The photo is from a session still on my “to-blog” list (be excited–lots of VERY fun photos), and the card was made at minted.com. Thanks for letting me post this Alison!

A little while ago Brenda contacted me about shooting her family photos. I was a touch more-than-usual nervous about the session, as Brenda is also a photographer! Thankfully it all went well–and now I have a new friend who shares my obsession with apertures, large prints and all things Canon. :)

One of my favorite shots–not just from this session–EVER!

And of course, a couple of new portraits for her bio page. :)
…I MIGHT just have to take a photo of you. Again. :)

Remember Zoë, from her family photo session last year? They came back for more this year, and I’ve got lots of great ones that I can’t wait to share as soon as I get a chance. For now, here’s a cute detail from the session:

If you’ve been considering getting professional family photos done, email or call me (303.651.6147) to schedule a date.
Kevin gave his wife a family photo session for her birthday, which, I think, is one of the coolest gifts to be given (yes, I know I’ve said it before, but it’s my blog, so I’ll say it again, and again, and again…..because it IS!).
We shot the session in Lyons, and little Liam definitely kept me moving :)

Who wouldn’t want one of these delicious kisses???

Wow….so. darn. cute.

Little Foster was only five days old when I came to photograph him. Even just days old, he was SUPER alert. He seemed to be totally aware of my presence, turning towards me and looking straight into the camera lens. :)
See?

But he IS a newborn, so we definitely captured a few sleepy moments.

Look at his cute little fingers!!…and cheeks!!…and nose…!!….

This is why I love being a people photographer….

Foster was not just alert, he was also strong…totally busted out of his swaddling blanket. :)
Recipe for a great session = perfect weather, perfect light, and subjects with fun personalities.

We totally hit the jackpot when we found this rusty old pipe. I’m crazy in love with this shot.

Wowzas.
