I’m fairly certain I have photos of James climbing this tree during all seasons of the year. Here, of course, is spring. Mmmm…can you smell the blossoms???

My little sister Rachel went to prom last weekend, and I signed on to be her official “pre-prom” portrait taker. The only rule I set–give me one hour of time at a “non-lame” location. None of that ten-minutes- infront-of-the-house nonsense that we all did for our pre-prom photos. :)

(taken with the “camera” on my blackberry–as my camera equipment sat snuggly tucked away in the overhead compartment).

Going through family photos from the last couple of months and I found this one. Thought I’d share. :)

I spent most of last week in Las Vegas for the WPPI Convention and Trade Show at the MGM. It was the first time I was able to attend, and I came back with a notebook full of new ideas and goals for Angie Wilson Photography. Some of the highlights?? Building new friendships with amazing photographers from across the country, lunch with Jesh de Rox, browsing through acres and acres of photography products/software/services at the trade show, running into and chatting with a few of the photographers whose work I’ve admired for a LONG time (Bobbie + Mike, Amelia and Justin Lyon, who are all just as friendly and kind as their work is amazing), putting on a wedding dress and posing as a bride for David Beckstead’s workshop, and getting pumped making plans to ressurect my film camera while attending Jonathan Canlas’ platform class. (!)
I didn’t take too many photos while I was away, but I did spend ten minutes the morning of my last day walking around with my camera:

This afternoon while I was placing a couple of my clients’ print orders I decided it was time for me to get some of my own printed out. Colin will now have his very own wall of glory featuring his crazy smiles and shaggy hair. :)
And if you’re not already friends with me on Facebook, you missed this status update a couple of days ago:
“This morning I was flossing my teeth. Colin was watching and asked if he could floss his teeth too, so I gave him a piece. Then he ate it. Should’ve known he was really looking for a morning snack.”

Someone once told me that there is no neutral stance when it comes to Peeps. Peeps, as in the delicious, disturbingly-florescent marshmallows shaped as chicks and bunnies, sold every year at Easter time. “You either love them or hate them,” she told me as I stood in the grocery line holding several boxes. For the most part I think she was right, though recently I’ve gotten the feeling that I’m the only person over age eight that still loves these things.
What’s your stance? With me? Think I’m a total nut? :)
