anna be | five

Early in November Jim and I photographed an evening of fun at Mile High Station in Denver celebrating five years for anna be bridal boutique. The 1920′s-themed celebration included a silent auction, eight inspiring vignettes designed by Denver’s best wedding planners, a surprise dance troupe burlesque performance, hors d’oeurves, champagne, plenty of dancing, & lots of good music by Soul School.

Vignettes by: A Touch of Bliss, Calluna Events (who also planned the entire celebration), Cloud 9, Couture Consulting, Duet Events, Frosted Pink Weddings, Love This Day Events and Sapphire Celebrations

Style Shoot | Tea in the Garden | Blue Bridal Boutique

I was thrilled when Alex from Blue Bridal Boutique called this summer and asked me to be part of a styled shoot featuring one of their gorgeous new wedding gowns by Rivini.   I love style shoots and I loved Alex’s idea of keeping within a “tea & garden” theme.   We shot at Wash Park in Denver–here’s a little peek at what we got:

This shoot was featured on the Couture Colorado blog yesterday, which you can see here.

Wedding Inspiration Shoot at Frog Belly Farm

This shoot was posted on Style Me Pretty several months ago, so many of you have likely seen it. OLD NEWS–I KNOW!  BUT–it was a fun shoot and I couldn’t pass up featuring on my own blog. So here it is again. :)

The Farm-to-Table inspiration shoot was a project that began early in 2011.  For several years I’d been dreaming about doing an inspiration shoot. With a bit of down time in the winter I finally decided I was going to make it happen.  I contacted Heather Dwight, owner of Calluna Events in Boulder, because I knew it was something I wouldn’t be able to pull off without some help.   We almost instantly decided on Frog Belly Farm just north of Boulder as the location for the shoot, and chose a “farm-to-table” theme for the style.  Heather and I gathered the best wedding vendors in Colorado and this is what we came up with:

The best part?  After weeks of hard work and several hours of shooting at Frog Belly Farm everyone involved gathered around the table and enjoyed a fresh cooked farm meal under the setting sun.  So perfect.  FYI: pickled paprika peppers??? Seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten!**

Kate & Joe | Grayslake Illinois Wedding

Remember a few weekends ago when the weather in Colorado was terrible???  Snow, sleet, chilly temps (or so I heard!). That was the weekend Jim and I were enjoying perfect weather in Illinois with Kate and Joe for their wedding. :)Kate had plans for a cute pair of turquoise heels until she hurt her foot the week prior to the wedding.  I love these sparkly Toms she wore in place of the heels: These socks were delivered to Joe while he was getting ready with this message from Kate: “Don’t get cold feet!” :)Cutest church exterior I’ve ever seen in the U.S.  Someone please introduce me to a church building this darling in Colorado.

Larissa & Xavier | Boulder Wedding | Hotel Boulderado

I love the love that seems to follow every wedding ceremony–especially Larissa and Xavier’s:

Jim and I walked around Boulder the week before the wedding to find a couple of good photo spots prior to Larissa & Xavier’s wedding day.  I was SO SO SOOOOO excited when I found this bench.  My favorite image from the day:

Flushmount Wedding Album

I love photo albums.  Thumbing through a stack of 4×6′s is great, and browsing through images on the computer screen is fine, but NOTHING beats coming back again and again to view images in an album. I love photo albums. :)

I’m always so excited to show my clients their wedding album that I rush it out the door and kick myself later when I realize I forgot to take a few photos.  I was equally excited to get Sara and Andy their wedding album but this time I remembered to take some quick shots of a few of the page spreads:
