Last August Jim and I photographed Alexis and Steve’s wedding at the top of Aspen Mountain. Today I found out that their wedding is featured on Martha Stewart Weddings.com. Go check it out:

A couple of weekends ago, Jim and I headed up to Aspen for Alexis and Steve’s mountaintop wedding. We began photographing the evening before the wedding at the rehearsal dinner.
To kick off the evening Blazing Adventures brought the guests in Jeeps to admire the views at Coney Glade in Snowmass.

The Jeeps next dropped everyone off at the Lynn Britt Cabin to enjoy an evening of great food, music and a bonfire.

As we unloaded from the Jeeps I heard one of the guests mention that the set up looked like something straight out of a magazine.
Yep. I think so too.
Mmmm….this is making me want to take a computer break and go get something yummy.
Jim and I set up a small photobooth for the guests to enjoy after dinner. Photobooth + crazy fun cowboy props = PERFECT way to kick off wedding festivities (not a bad way for us photographers to get to know all the guests either!!).
The next morning we took the gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain.
The ceremony was on the wedding deck at the Aspen Mountain Club. 
Just as at the rehearsal dinner, the details of the wedding were amazing. At an elevation of 11,000+ ft., a blue and white ”in the clouds” theme seemed a fitting choice.
I thought everything came out great, though I had no doubt it would. Alexis knows a thing or two about weddings, as she has worked as the editor of marthastewartweddings.com for the past couple of years.
The chandelier was covered in a “cloud” of baby’s breath, with birds hanging below.
I thought this was a great idea for the younger wedding guests…
So did she… :)

hey friends…!! perhaps you noticed I’m CRAZY behind in blogging sessions…??? July has been such a fun month of shooting and shooting and shooting and shooting. and shooting. accompanying all of the shooting is also a very messy house, meals that came out the freezer and are warmed up in the microwave, quick ponytail hair-dos, and very little blogging. I do plan on catching up…at some point. and to stop living off of microwave-able meals. yuck-o.

Hi blog. It’s busy busy BUSY over here, but I wanted to post a small peek at Jen and Brian’s fabulous Utah weddding:
They were married in the LDS temple in Salt Lake City (yes, it was cloudy, yes, it was a bit rainy, and yes, it was windy…but holy smokes!!! That sure didn’t stop Jen and Brian from being the happiest most glowing-est newly-wed couple).
Jen and Brian departed their reception surrounded by rows of friends and family holding sparklers, which made for some VERY fantastic shots. Thanks guys! ;)
