Where will we shoot the session
?
That’s up to you and me to decide. A place with good light, a reasonably uncluttered background, and space that allows you/your children to be comfortable and be yourself/themselves, are the main things I look for when choosing a spot. This can be a variety of places (your backyard, an empty field, your house, a broken down building, alleys, a park, etc.), which we can discuss on the phone/through email/in person at the studio after we’ve set a date for the session.
What should we wear?
Something you feel comfortable in. My sessions aren’t about holding still and looking flawless, they’re about capturing you being you. Sometimes I have my subjects lay in the grass, run through fields, climb on top of trains or into abandoned buildings. Keep that in mind when choosing.
What should I bring?
I don’t often include any “props” in my photo sessions, but every once in awhile it can be fun to do a some shots with a couple of appropriate additions. I love doing “action shots” so if you and your fiance like to ride bikes together, bring the bikes and we’ll do shots of you riding together. If your a family loves eating ice cream together, let’s plan a trip to the ice cream parlor for some ice-cream eating shots. We can talk about this in more depth when you book the session. If you have ideas or requests please let me know. **For families with young children, plan on also bringing a couple of snacks or diversions for your child just in case we need to take a break.
When will I see my images?
When you schedule your session we will also set a date (about 1-2 weeks after your session) for you to come back to the studio to view your images and order prints/products. Most prints and products will be ready within two weeks of your order, though custom-designed albums and a few other products require more time. If you’re on a tight deadline and need to see your images/receive your prints sooner, please inquire for rush rates.
How much do prints cost?
