Someone once told me that there is no neutral stance when it comes to Peeps. Peeps, as in the delicious, disturbingly-florescent marshmallows shaped as chicks and bunnies, sold every year at Easter time. “You either love them or hate them,” she told me as I stood in the grocery line holding several boxes. For the most part I think she was right, though recently I’ve gotten the feeling that I’m the only person over age eight that still loves these things.
What’s your stance? With me? Think I’m a total nut? :)
I don’t know if I actually like peeps. I think they’re so cute though that I usually buy a box and eat a few. John thinks they’re gross. I have a long time prank around Easter of hiding them in weird places (on his pillow, on top of the toilet seat) to scare him.
I have always loved them! I like them even better if they sit out for a while and get just a LITTLE hard. One year Target had them on clearance for $.09/package (I think they got down to 90% off), so I bought a bunch, melted them on the stove with a little butter, and made pop – I mean PEEP-corn balls!
I am a hater. Don’t care for marshmallow anything. Scott likes them a lot. He also likes to melt them in the microwave. I think this is disturbing. . .
It makes perfect sense that fate brought you to us to photograph our wedding now that I see we share a love of peeps. Pure deliciousness! They’ve never been captured so beautifully on film!
