It’s becoming an unofficial tradition to head to Lake Powell with my family (once every eight years or so!) and enjoy a few days on a houseboat soaking up the sun, fishing, and playing in the water. Last time we went to Lake Powell, Jim and I were just one year married and child-less, so this experience was a bit different than the last. :) In the interest of conserving my iPhone battery, I didn’t pull it out as often as I would have liked…but here’s what I got:
First, of course, getting there. We drove through some pretty run-down parts of Utah, and we all know I’m a fan of run-down. :)
We stayed the night in Hanksville, where we found this collection of dinosaurs/various creatures made from recycled metal:Evening football in the hotel parking lot:And finally…at Lake Powell. Jim, James and Colin made up their own version of “crush the castle”:
