We road tripped it to South Dakota this past weekend (Mt. Rushmore!) on a VERY last minute whim. On our way back to Colorado we spotted a field of hay bales which looked like a fun spot to stop and take some photos.
**There is NO PHOTOSHOP trickery involved here–I PROMISE! Trickery, perhaps, but not photoshop or any other form of post-processing. This is ONE exposure my friends. :)
**Not gonna lie and pretend like I came up with this concept. This photo is 100% inspired by photographer Rodney Smith, whose work I came to love while I was a graduate student working as an intern at the BYU Museum of Art (the BYU MOA featured his photographs in an exhibition in 2005–I was in the design department and helped produce the gallery guide).
Sweet picture! It does have some resemblance to the Rodney Smith photos; however there is much more movement and pizazz in this one! At first glance this reminded me of the photo of you bounding off the rock at Avebury.
LOVE it. can you get me doing that while preggo??
I don’t know exactly how it was done, but I think it uses ‘forced perspective’. Distances are not what they seem in this photo. Very well done!….
Anslee–of course! That could, quite possibly, be the coolest maternity shot ever!
Amazing!
