Commercial Photography | Grand Circle Travel Magazine

A couple months ago I was contacted by Grand Circle Travel in Boston, who was putting together a magazine article on the travel-inspired wood-carvings of  Harry (a talented artist living in northern Colorado).  It was an amazing opportunity for me, not just to visit Harry’s wood-working studio and photograph him at work, but also to get to know Harry (quite possibly the friendliest person I have ever met) and see his passion for his work.  A detail from the piece that was being featured in the magazine, which kind-of reminded me of the ivory carvings that I used to drool over in my art history classes (especially the one of Justinian riding his horse in triumph–just in case anyone else wants to be an art history nerd with me…)

  1. Wow! I’m amazed at his work! I love this last picture you took with his hands, it’s just very special for some reason.
