Denver Boudoir Photographer | Niki |

A couple of months ago I read Annie Leibovitz At Work–a book written by the artist about some of her experiences as a photographer.  She recounts the stories behind some of her most famous photographs–Whoopi Goldberg in the bathtub filled with milk, John and Yoko, O.J. Simpson in court, the Queen of England, William Burroughs, etc.  (I loved the book, by the way, and if you’re a photographer, I think you might too).  Near the end, she quotes Arnold Newman, who said that “photography is one percent talent and ninety-nine percent moving furniture.”   I almost laughed out loud when I read that, because I immediately thought about Niki’s boudoir session at her home in Denver.  It was exactly that.  We literally rearranged every piece of furniture on the main level of her house. One percent talent and ninety-nine percent moving furniture.  :)

  1. I was reading that book at Borders a few months ago. It was kind of fascinating how she started out in photography. I love that shot too! Hope you had fun visiting with Stacey!
