Although I generally consider myself a “people” photographer, I was thrilled to death when Janet of JM Designs in Wheat Ridge, contacted me about photographing some of the garments she designed and put together. Janet is so passionate about what she does, and the work she does is amazingly designed and executed. She offers not only sewing classes and custom-made wedding dresses and gowns, but clothing for ice-skating costumes, ballroom dance, and modern dance. She is a creative and talented semstress, and just like me, loves to try new things and break out of the box.
Here are a few shots of the garments that were photographed, soon to be submitted as slides for admission to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. Good luck Janet!!
*and, of course, a special thanks goes to Kim, who did a fantastic job modeling the clothing.
This shot was actually a test shot…making sure my lighting and exposure were right….and it turned to be one of my favorites.
