Black and White Photography: Post-Processing

I’ve had a couple of clients order a few of their photos in black & white this week.  As I was preparing these images for print, I felt like my “old” way of converting an image into black & white just wasn’t cutting it.  I started doing what I always do when I have a photography question–searching online, reading through my books, and of course, just experimenting and trying new things out.  I was hoping to find some sort of magic formula that would make every image look perfect in black and white, but came to the conclusion that every image needs something different.  I’ve been having fun this week playing with some old images in my library, and thought I’d share.

Angie – The B&W’s are awe inspiring! I have so enjoyed and admired your work in color but these bring out all the emotion of the moment. They are incredible-I love it! Nancy
