Earlier this year I decided to take on a fairly hefty personal project (two, actually)–“life books” for my two boys. I’ve kept journals for them since they were in the womb, I’ve saved their art projects and school certificates. And of course there are photos. TONS of photos. And other than James’ first year of life, I haven’t been oh-too-terrific about organizing the photos into books or albums. So I decided that 2013 was going to be the year that I make them each their own “life book”, organizing their photos, artwork, and snippets of journal entries into one fabulous book. As a project that so perfectly combined my love of both graphic design and photography, I had no trouble at all dedicating hours of time into making them. Together, both books took me almost half the year to complete…but they’re finished, and I couldn’t be more proud. :) I love flipping through the pages, remembering who my boys used to be and seeing what they’ve become.
Here are just a few of the 400+ pages from Colin’s book:
Thank goodness for photos, because I hardly remember Colin being this little:

Thanks for sharing this! I was curious what the inside pages look like. I love how clean it is, and the added quotes and artwork. I think Colin will always appreciate the work you put into it!
