For the small number of you who may have been following along with my blog since the beginning, you may remember this family portrait we took in front of our garage in 2007, six weeks before Colin was born:
Almost exactly six years later, we are, again, six weeks away from welcoming a new little person into our family, so I decided we had to recreate the shot. Since 2007 we’ve painted our house, James has shot up a couple of feet, and Colin has taken his place outside of my belly and in front of the garage. :)
And just so you’re not under any false impressions, to get two shots I was happy with, took quite a bit of “failed” attempts. I’m not sure I would call these total failures though, I love the reality of “us” that they capture:
